If at all possible you must see these guys live. There's no way to really describe the kind of music they play, the closest one I've heard was "kind of Applachian surf music". Who knows, who cares...these guys are fantastic!

I try to see them whenever they swing thru our area, which is fairly often since they seem to be permanently touring. To me they are all you can ask for in a bar band - within five minutes of them coming on stage you've got happy feet and you (and everybody else) don't stop dancing until after the last note is played...

The guitarist is Rick Miller and he can play the bejesus out of his Danelectro (huh?) guitar. Singing songs mostly about food and cars, standing there in his bib overalls and ball cap, he plays like a man possessed. David Hartman plays drums, picture the cartoon character Hank Hill in real life, the resemblance is uncanny. Bass is played by the delicious Mary Huff with her BIG hair, go-go boots and frilly dresses. All of them are nice folks, coming back out on stage after the show to talk with the fans, posing for pictures and signing autographs.

I'm always looking for more stuff about SCOTS so if you come across anything cool please let me know!
